In a unexpected collaboration that challenges conventional predictions, the game developer has unveiled an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Adventure Revealed
According to the official announcement, "A strange encounter draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where hints of banned ceremonies and monstrous metamorphoses resonate through the darkness." The narrative introduces a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a secret sect.
The questline centers on "bizarre experiments and a monstrous enemy" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Iconic Settings and Changes
The trailer showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview finishes with a powerful sequence showing a character, presumably the captive, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Rewards and Extra Features
Players who successfully complete the quest will receive an unique katana in addition to multiple objects secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
